canUpark is designed with privacy by default.

Even though we do not collect personal information intentionally, some data may be processed as part of operating the app.

2.1 Images you provide

• When you scan a parking sign, images are processed locally on your device and/or via secure third-party AI services
• Images are used only to generate a response
• Images are not stored permanently by canUpark

2.2 Technical data (minimal)

We may process limited technical data such as:

• Device type and OS version
• App version
• Basic usage events (e.g. app launch, scan initiated)
• Crash or error logs (if enabled)
• Acceptance of Terms (timestamp, version, device/session ID)

This data is not linked to your identity and is used only for operation, debugging, security, and legal compliance.

2.3 No personal identifiers

We do not intentionally collect:

• Name
• Email
• Phone number
• Address
• Payment information
• Precise location (unless explicitly enabled in future versions)

We use information only to:

• Operate the app
• Process parking sign images
• Generate AI outputs
• Maintain security and prevent misuse
• Fix bugs and improve reliability
• Comply with legal obligations
• Record acceptance of Terms

canUpark may use third-party providers for:

• AI processing
• Cloud infrastructure
• App hosting

These providers may process data only as necessary to deliver the service. We take reasonable steps to ensure contractual safeguards, data minimisation, and secure transmission.

• Images: not stored after processing
• Technical logs: retained only as long as necessary
• Acceptance logs: retained for legal defence and compliance

Data may be processed in countries outside your location. We ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, including:

• Encrypted transmission (HTTPS)
• Access controls
• Minimal data collection

However, no system is completely secure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

Since we do not store identifiable personal data, we may not be able to link requests to a specific individual.

canUpark is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
